What Do You See?
I wonder what it is you see
When into my eyes you gaze
Do you see how much you mean to me
And how much for you I care?
Do you see the feelings deep inside
The ones I fear to share?
Or do you fear to see them too
Can you sense what’s hiding there?
And do you see the wide-eyed girl, of barely twenty-five
The one who lives inside of me
Filled with the wonder of you
Or do you see the older me outside, the one I hardly know?
The passion, lust and desire I share
Are safe within the limits,
But all those feelings deep inside
Must always stay a secret.
